I've been playing the piano since I was six.
I took piano lessons from elementary through graduate school.
I've been teaching piano lessons since 1992.
I've worked with students as young as three and as old as... well, quite old.
I love what I do!
About the Instructor
Simply put, I adore the piano - and have spent a lifetime learning how to teach others to play it.
With an undergraduate degree in Music, a Masters degree in Music Education, and dual teaching certifications in Music Education and Elementary Education, I have a lot of teaching experience away from the piano and greatly enjoy incorporating that knowledge into lessons.
In addition to teaching piano, I accompany local school choruses and substitute teach (both long-term and on a per-diem basis) regularly, which allows me the opportunity to continually collaborate with other educators and add more tools to my instructional toolbox.
When I'm not in the classroom or at the keyboard, I might be writing, out and about with one of our service puppies-in-training, or listening to an audiobook. My family and I love food (both to cook and to eat), concerts and Broadway shows, and also traveling. Some of my favorite things include Disney, Harry Potter, BTS, the Yankees, and goat cheese.
